Over the last two weeks I have worked on my Medieval Europe Inquiry task for 3 periods.I have worked at a standard of 93%, this has allowed me to finish my 'Top 10 Crazy Laws and Punishment' and the Political Structure of Medieval Europe. I have also managed to finish all my notes on a currency (Prague Groschen) of Medieval Europe, and start on the presentation of the currency.
The lessons I have had on my task have made me think about how easy life is today, and how hard it was back in the Middle Ages. The punishments today for crimes include going to jail, fines etc., Medieval Europeans had torture. We get a fair trial. Medieval Europeans had to have a trial by ordeal where the were most likely to fail and die from the trial.
These lessons have made me learn about trials, crimes, punishments, torture and laws in the Middle Ages, from when I was working on 'Crime and Punishments' in the Political area. I also learnt about all the political groups in the Medieval Europe feudal system from the 'Political Structure' in the Political area. And started to learn about Prague Groschen, which is a type of currency from Medieval Europe, from 'Currency' in the Economical area.
I have really enjoyed all I have done so far because we get to pick which box we want to learn about, so we must be at least a little interested in it. This technique works well because it keeps everybody interested in what they are doing.
My biggest challenge has been trying to find accurate information, because the Middle Age period happened so long ago some information can be unreliable, like anything on the internet. I have to go through many websites to confirm that my information is accurate.
